Hitmen Lose by One to Warriors

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen fired a season-high 40 shots on goal but fell 5-4 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Moose Jaw's top line of Jayden Halbgewachs (2g, 1a), Brett Howden (1g, 2a) and Tanner Jeannot (3a) combined for nine points to lead the visitors. Brayden Burke and Nikita Popugaev also scored for the Warriors who built a 4-1 second period lead then hung on for the victory.

Vladislav Yeryomenko, Carsen Twarynski, Jakob Stukel and Andrew Fyten all scored for Calgary with Yeryomenko's tally his first-career WHL marker. Jordy Stallard chipped in a pair of assists for the Hitmen who outshot Moose Jaw 40-21.

Calgary, 8-11-2-0, returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 26, when the Lethbridge Hurricanes visit the Scotiabank Saddledome for The Brick Teddy Bear Toss. Game time is 2:00 p.m. with doors opening 90 minutes prior to puck drop. Fans are encouraged to arrive early with a new small or medium-sized stuffed toy to toss on the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal. Large plush toys will be collected upon entry to ensure the safety of all Scotiabank Saddledome guests.

General admission press level tickets for Saturday's world-famous toss are available for just $10 (plus applicable fees) at Ticketmaster and the 'Dome box office.

A buffet, starting at 12:00 p.m., will be served on Saturday in the Chrysler Club for $21.95 per person and $12 for children under the age of 12. A game ticket is required for entry to the buffet.
