Hitmen Fall in Shootout

Calgary, AB - Brendan Ranford scored the shootout winner lifting the Kamloops Blazers to a 3-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Tuesday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Zane Jones and Brady Brassart, now with points in his last five contests, each scored for Calgary. Brassart also chipped in an assist in the loss.

Colin Smith added to his league-leading point total netting a pair of regulation goals, plus one in the shootout, for the visitors. Tim Bozon had a hand in both Blazers tallies.

Chris Driedger made 18 saves in the Hitmen net.

Calgary will head to Red Deer tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 12, before returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome for a three-game homestand that begins Saturday, Dec. 15 against the Regina Pats, with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
