Hinostroza Helps Hogs Right Ship against Milwaukee Admirals

Rockford IceHogs News Release
MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - Vinnie Hinostroza scored two goals in the third period and Jeff Glass held tough with 23 saves to lead the Rockford IceHogs to a 5-2 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals Saturday night at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
The win snapped Rockford's season-high four-game skid and marked the team's first victory since Oct. 28 vs. Grand Rapids.
Hinostroza, skating in his 100th career AHL game with the IceHogs, reached the century mark in style by potting the go-ahead and insurance tallies in tonight's victory. The forward won a faceoff early in the third period, skated in front of the net and buried a feed from Matthew Highmore for the game-winning strike just 24 seconds into the final frame.
After each team fended off several scoring chances, Hinostroza then struck again to put the game away halfway through the third stanza. Rockford's winger pulled ahead of the Admirals defense on a breakaway and beat netminder Anders Lindback with a top-shelf shot that put the IceHogs in front 4-2. With his pair of goals, Hinostroza has now combined for a team-high 15 points (7g, 8a) in 14 games this season.
Tyler Sikura also scored for the IceHogs when he flipped a puck between his legs and into the net for the equalizing goal at 18:08 in the second period, and both David Kampf and Luke Johnson also found twine in Rockford's victory.
Between the pipes, Glass finished with 23 saves on 25 shots to improve to 3-1-0-0 on the season. His counterpart, Lindback, was superb through the early going Saturday, but ultimately succumbed to a 44-shot barrage to yield five total goals in Milwaukee's loss.
Next Home Game: The IceHogs take on the Iowa Wild for the 2017-18 School Day Game at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 15. "Lunch Break" packages are available as well for $10 and include a ticket to the IceHogs game and a meal from Dickey's Barbeque Pit (fans can enter the arena beginning at 11:30 a.m. and stay through the end of the game). Tickets can be purchased at IceHogs.com, by calling (815) 968-5222 or in-person at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.
