Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs announced today they have recalled goaltender Jake Hildebrand from their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.

Hildebrand, 23, has skated in 14 games for the Fuel this season with a 2.89 goals against average and 0.912 save percentage. The Butler, Pennsylvania native was named CCM/ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 14-16 after stopping 56 of the 58 shots he faced in Indy's two-game sweep over Cincinnati. He picked up his first career shutout on Nov. 11 in Alaska, turning aside 37 shots to help the Fuel to a 2-0 win. The netminder split the 2015-16 season between the Allen Americans (ECHL) and Michigan State University (NCAA).

Next Game: Saturday, Dec. 3 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. The Rockford IceHogs face the Grand Rapids Griffins (11-6-0-2) in the third of 10 season meetings. The popular Teddy Bear Toss promotion returns to the BMO Harris Bank Center where fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears and/or stuffed animals to the game, and throw them onto the ice when the IceHogs score their first goal of the game. The teddy bears and stuffed animals will then be donated to local hospitals and kids charities.
