(Hickory, NC- September 12, 2015)- The West Virginia Power lost 1-0 to the Hickory Crawdads on Saturday evening in game three of the South Atlantic League's Northern Division Championship Series. Hickory took the final two games of his best of three series at L.P. Frans Stadium and advanced to the league's championship round against the Asheville Tourists.

Hickory's Collin Wiles and West Virginia's Yeudy Garcia matched zeros over the first three innings. Wiles allowed two hits and two walks, but the Power could not push a run across. Garcia struck out five over three innings of hitless work.

Dylan Moore's leadoff double in the fourth was the Crawdads first hit of the game. Moore advanced to third on a ground out and scored the only run of the night on a sacrifice fly from Luke Tendler.

West Virginia put the tying run on the bases in the fifth and sixth inning against Wiles, but could not even the score. Luis Ortiz replaced Wiles after six innings and struck out four of the six batters he faced.

Elvis Escobar singled to right and Connor Joe singled to left to put the tying run on at second and the go-ahead run at first. Taylor Gushue lined on 0-1 pitch from Williams to Moore at second base to end the game.

Garcia (0-1) took the loss after allowing the lone run on four hits over five and two-thirds innings with seven strikeouts. Wiles (1-0) earned the win after blanking the Power over six complete. Ortiz garnered a hold and Williams picked up his second save of the set.
