The Crawdads continued their strong second half over the past week, going 5-1. The 'Dads are in third place, just two games behind the division-leading Lakewood BlueClaws.

The 'Dads wrapped up the homestand with a wild win against the Power last Friday night. Trailing 4-1 after six, the Crawdads chipped away at the Power's lead with a run in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. The tying run came on a homerun by Miguel Aparicio with one out in the ninth. The bullpen delivered their fifth hitless inning of the night, to keep the game tied going into the bottom half of the tenth. Preston Scott sent everyone home with a sacrifice fly that scored the runner from third. The win was the 'Dads ninth walkoff of the season.

On Saturday, the 'Dads hit the road for a short four game trip to Charleston. The Crawdads held the RiverDogs scoreless on the way to a 4-0 victory. Miguel Aparicio hit his fifth homerun of the season while Yohel Pozo and Ryan Dorow each had a single and a double. Tyree Thompson picked up his fifth win of the season, tossing five scoreless innings. Jean Casanova took things the rest of the way with four scoreless innings and six strikeouts, earning him his third save of the year.

The 'Dads rallied again in the late innings on Sunday to pull out an 8-7 victory. The 'Dads had jumped out to an early 4-0 lead but the RiverDogs pounced for seven runs in the third. The Crawdads got a run in the fourth and fifth to cut the deficit to one. The 'Dads tied the game in the ninth with an RBI triple by Miguel Aparicio. Yohel Pozo followed up with his third double of the night to put the team ahead by a run. The 'Dads bullpen was dominant once again on Sunday with seven hitless innings from Joe Barlow, Reid Anderson, and Josh Advocate.

The Crawdads won their fourth game in a row with a 4-2 victory on Monday. Sam Huff had a three-hit night and Pedro Gonzalez hit his eighth homerun of the season. Tyler Phillips earned his team-leading seventh win of the season and Demarcus Evans nailed down the save, striking out all three batters he faced in the ninth.

The 'Dads were unable to complete the sweep on Tuesday afternoon, dropping the series finale 5-2. Yonny Hernandez and Sam Huff drove in the 'Dads runs. Hernandez also stole his 22nd base of the year, which is second best in the South Atlantic League this season.

The team enjoyed an off day on Wednesday and returned to the Frans last night to start a four game series against the Kannapolis Intimidators. The 'Dads bats exploded for 14 runs as they beat the Intimidators 14-10. Pedro Gonzalez, Tyreque Reed and Sam Huff all went deep for the 'Dads. Preston Scott and Ryan Dorow had three RBIs each.
