Hershey Silences the Pirates, Forces Game 5

Hershey, PA - With an opportunity to end their Atlantic Division Semifinal series, the Portland Pirates were held without a goal Saturday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Hershey Bears at the GIANT Center in Game 4. The series is now tied 2-2.

Travis Boyd opened the scoring when he found the back of the net on a Jakub Vrana pass at 12:51 of the first period. Tyler Lewington was credited with the second assist on the play.

Chris Bourque sent a shot past Mike McKenna on the power play to double the Bears' lead 2-0 at 16:23 of the period, as Bourque's slap shot from the top of the slot glanced off of Brett Olson's stick and bounced by McKenna. Carter Camper and Aaron Ness collected the assists.

The Pirates had three power-play opportunities in the game but were unable capitalize.

Justin Peters made 19 saves to earn his first shutout of the post-season to improve his record 2-1.

McKenna stopped 26 Bears attempts, but sees his postseason record drop to 2-2.
