Henley Field to Host FCSAA State Baseball Tournament May 15-21

Lakeland, FL - Some of the best baseball players in the state of Florida will be in Lakeland May 15-21 as Historic Henley Field hosts the 2016 Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) State Tournament.

The tournament begins at Henley Field on Sunday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. as Broward College (33-19) takes on Gulf Coast State (38-14). The action continues at 1:00 p.m. when Northwest Florida State (35-18) takes on St. Johns River State College (40-12), currently ranked #6 in the state and #8 in the country. At 4:00 p.m. College of Central Florida (32-17) battles St. Petersburg College (33-19). The final game of day one has Santa Fe College (38-7), the #1 ranked team in the country, taking on Eastern Florida State College (32-16) at 7:00 p.m.

Day two begins when Polk State College (37-15), the #3 ranked team in the state and #14 ranked team in the country, takes on the winner of Northwest Florida State and St. Johns River State at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16. At 1:00 p.m. Chipola College (39-14), the #2 ranked team in the state, will take on the winner of Central Florida and St. Petersburg. The remaining game schedule is listed below.

Tickets to the FCSAA tournament will be available as follows:

- Tournament Pass - $25

- Daily Pass - $10 ($9 for children 6-14)

- Championship Game Ticket Only - $5

- Children 5 and under are free

- Parking is free

The winner of the tournament will advance to the National Junior College Activities Association (JUCO) 59th Annual World Series to be held in Grand Junction, Colorado at Suplizio Field May 28 - June 4.
