San Diego Sockers News Release
It has been an incredibly tough weekend due to the passing of Abel Sebele. The San Diego Sockers are grateful for the beautiful tributes that have poured in via social media and from the Sockers fans, the Major Arena Soccer League and Sebele's former schools and clubs such as Episcopal High School, West Virginia University, Wichita FC and the Wichita B-52s.
Led by General Manager John Kentera and the backroom staff, the Sockers have been working in conjunction with Episcopal High School's Damian Walsh and his staff and Wichita FC to take care of arrangements to get Sebele back to Zimbabwe so that his final resting place can be with his family.
The San Diego Sockers kindly asks the entire soccer community for donations to help all these incredible institutions in giving Sebele the proper arrangements and burial that he deserves.
