WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JULY 2, 2012) - Dash pitcher Matt Heidenreich was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week for games played during the week of June 25-July 1.

Heidenreich picked up two wins in two starts the past week. Over the course of 16 innings he allowed just one run and seven hits. The run occurred in the seventh inning, ending a streak of 15 scoreless innings for the right-hander.

On June 25 Heidenreich delivered his second complete game of the season in an 8-0 win over Salem. He threw nine scoreless innings, limiting the Salem offense to just four hits and not allowing a runner to reach second base.
