Heat Sign Rollheiser to PTO

March 17, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that Goaltender Grant Rollheiser has been signed to a Professional Try-Out (PTO).

With the recall of Danny Taylor by the Calgary Flames today, and the absence of Leland Irving who is recovering from minor elective surgery, Rollheiser has been signed and will serve as the backup to Barry Brust for this afternoon's game in San Antonio.

Rollheiser has played 19 games with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) and six games with the Wichita Thunder (Central Hockey League) this season. The Toronto Maple Leafs drafted the Chilliwack, BC product in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2008 Entry Draft. Rollheiser is a graduate of Boston University and made 31 appearances over four seasons with the Terriers.
