Heat Assigns Pittman to Skyforce

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Nov. 26, 2010) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the assignment of Miami HEAT center Dexter Pittman. He becomes the first-ever HEAT player assigned to the Skyforce since the two organizations were aligned prior to the 2009-10 season. He is expected to make his debut in the home opener on Saturday night against the Dakota Wizards.

Pittman, who has yet to appear in a regular season game, averaged 3.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in four preseason contests. The 6-11, 308-pound rookie was drafted by the HEAT in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft. He averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 62.3 percent from the field in 134 career games (59 starts) over four seasons at the University of Texas.

Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2010-11 season are on sale. Discounts and benefits are also available for groups of 10 or more. The home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 27 against the rival Dakota Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena.
