Head activated
May 3, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
Akron RubberDucks News Release
The Aeros made a roster move today, activating OF Stephen Head from the disabled list. Head takes the roster spot of IF Michael Aubrey, who was promoted to Class AA Buffalo yesterday.
Head opened the season in extended spring training while recovering from surgery on his right (non-throwing) labrum, and joined the Aeros April 10th. He appeared in five games and hit .357 (5-14) with three RBI and four runs scored before breaking a bone in his right wrist and going on the DL April 17th. Head was a 2nd-round pick out of Ole Miss in 2005.
An updated roster and transaction list is attached. Please let me know if you have any questions.
