Hawks Earn 5-4 Victory over Spokane

The Portland Winterhawks (22-18-1-0) earned a 5-4 win over the Spokane Chiefs (17-19-5-2) Friday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Ryan Hughes and Caleb Jones led the way with a goal and an assist against the Chiefs tonight. Jones is now on a ten game point streak, continuing this stretch in his first game back from winning the gold medal with Team USA in this year's World Junior Championship. Henri Jokiharju tallied three assists tonight against the Chiefs, while Cody Glass registered two assists.
The Hawks host the Chiefs in the VMC again tomorrow night in the second back-to-back contest between the two teams this weekend.

(POR 5 - SPO 1) 2nd @ 18:06 - Kailer Yamamoto (Ross, Najman) scores to cut the Spokane deficit to 5-2. (POR 5 - SPO 2) 3rd @ 11:54 - McIndoe (Helgesen, Ka. Yamamoto) nets his second of the night to bring the Chiefs within two goals. (POR 5 - SPO 3) 3rd @ 13:19 - Spokane's Nolan Reid (Leduc, Ke.
