(Pawtucket, RI) The Buffalo Bisons rode a pair of three-run innings that each featured one of Andy Burns' four hits to a 7-0 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox on Sunday night at McCoy Stadium. Alex Hassan also ripped four hits and drove in four as the Bisons cruised in front of a crowd of 9,951 in the final night game of 2015.

Rich Hill's final start for Pawtucket was a departure from the outstanding form he showed in his first four; the lefthander allowed seven runs - six of which were earned - on ten hits over six innings.

Buffalo opened the scoring when Ryan Schimpf lifted a solo home run to right field in the top of the second inning. They tacked on three more with a two-out flurry in the fifth. With runners at first and second with two down, Burns singled home Jon Berti before Matt Hague was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Alex Hassan then laced a single into centerfield to plate two runs and push Buffalo ahead 4-0.

The PawSox stranded six men on base in the first five innings and squandered their best opportunity in the sixth. Garin Cecchini, Jonathan Roof and Anuery Tavarez all singled before Luis Martinez flied out to center to end the threat.

Bisons starter Todd Redmond skated around trouble throughout six scoreless innings; he surrendered seven hits and walked two.

Immediately thereafter, the Bisons put the game away. After Hill walked Jonathan Diaz to open the seventh, Ty Kelly hit a ground ball to third that could have started a double play.  But the ball popped out of second baseman Mike Miller's glove - and the Bisons made Pawtucket pay. Andy Burns singled to load the bases and end Hill's night. Keith Couch inherited a bases-loaded jam, and would allow all three to score.  He walked Matt Hague and surrendered a two-run double to Hassan, and the Bisons led 7-0.

Cecchini finished the evening with three hits and Mike Miller was on base twice and stole his third sixth base.

The Sox (58-85) will close the 2015 season at McCoy on Saturday at 1:05 for the Righthander William Cuevas (2-2, 2.83) takes the mound and will be opposed by Marcus Stroman, making a rehab start for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Good tickets are available for the final game; visit www.pawsox.com or call 401-724-7300 to get them now.
