Harrisburg Walks off on the 'Dogs Again, 5-4

Harrisburg, Pa. - The Harrisburg Senators (24-21) got a walk-off walk for the second consecutive game, defeating the Portland Sea Dogs (16-30), 5-4 on Thursday morning at FNB Field.

Isaac Ballou drew a 4-pitch bases-loaded walk in the home ninth for the game-winning RBI. Simon Mercedes (2-3) issued four walks in the frame, including three in a row to end the game. On Wednesday night, Harrisburg had three straight walks to end game, including a 4-pitch walk for the game-winner.

Koda Glover (1-0) worked around a lead-off single to Cole Sturgeon in the ninth inning to earn his first Double-A win.

Portland got off to a great start, scoring two runs off starter Austen Williams in the first. Sean Coyle singled with one out and scored on a triple by Ryan Court (3-for-4). Nate Freiman added a sacrifice fly. With the game tied at two, Court tripled home Coyle in the third and tied the game in the sixth with a solo-homer.

Ty Buttrey (ND) worked 4.2 innings on 3 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), 5 walks and no strikeouts for Portland. Rob Wort pitched 2.1 scoreless in relief with a strikeout.

The Sea Dogs open up a 7-game homestand on Friday night against the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) beginning at 6 PM from Hadlock Field. Portland has RHP Teddy Stannkiewicz (1-3, 3.28) on the hill for his 9th start of the year. Radio coverage on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network begins at 5:40 PM.
