TODAY'S GAMES The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play the final game of their three-game series today at The Diamond in Richmond. It's also the final time the teams play one another this year.

The Sens are looking for their first series win since taking two of three from New Hampshire at the end of July. The Senators have won the season series this year against Richmond for the first time since 2013 when they went 9-4 against the Flying Squirrels.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHER FOR HARRISBURG Erick Fedde starts for the Senators tonight. He is the number four prospect in the Nationals organization according to MLB.com and is in the top 100 in all of minor league baseball. He was the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week July 17. His first double-A start on 8/10 at Altoona was outstanding as he went seven innings and allowed just a run. He second and last start came at home against Erie on 8/16 and he lasted just 4.1 innings. He was a high school teammate of Bryce Harper.

REMAINING SCHEDULE MAKE-UP The Senators have 17 games remaining, 9 on the road and 8 at home. Of the remaining games, 8 are against the west and 9 against the east (all against Hartford). By series the Senators play at Richmond (1), Altoona (3), at Hartford-NH (4), at Bowie (4), and Hartford (5).

CHASING THE PLAYOFFS The Senators enter play today just a game behind Akron and four games behind Altoona. ROUGH TIMES Since the all-star break the Senators are 17-20 and since July 28 they are 7-15. In their past 22 games they have a 4.38 ERA and opposing hitters are batting .277. Offensively the Senators are hitting .242 and are averaging 3.7 runs per game.

PLAYING CLOSE GAMES In games decided by two runs or less, the Senators are 34-25 (.593). Harrisburg is 47-1 when leading after eight innings this season. The only blemish is a walk-off loss on 6/24 at New Hampshire.

WALK-OFF MAGIC After being walked-off eleven times last year, the Senators have bounced back to win seven games, thus far, in walk-off fashion. The latest walk-off win was on Tuesday, July 26 in game two vs. New Hampshire when Stephen Perez led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run.

ROSTER MAKE-UP Even with all the moves the latter half of the season, the Senators have 18 home grown players on their roster including every position player except one (Nick Rickles). With Whit Mayberry's start last night, they've used 15 different starting pitchers this season. The overall average age of the active roster is 25.16 years of age. The average age of the 18 home gown players is 24.5 years of age. COACHING STAFF

Manager - Matt LeCroy returns as manager of the Senators. He spent the past two seasons in the big leagues on the Nationals staff. Prior to becoming the bullpen coach in Washington, LeCroy guided the Senators in 2012 & 2013. In 2013 he led the Senators to the Eastern League Championship Series. He began his managerial career in 2009 with Hagerstown. This is his sixth season as a manager in the Nationals organization. In his previous five seasons as a manager, he has a record of 330-367. He was the 50th overall player selected in the 1997 draft by the Minnesota Twins. He played for the Twins and Nationals in the major leagues. His three managers were Tom Kelly, Ron Gardenhire and Frank Robinson. Was a member of the USA Olympic Team in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Pitching Coach - Chris Michalak returns for his third season as the Senators pitching coach. After retiring as a player in 2009, he was hired by the Nationals as a pitching coach. He has been with Hagerstown, Potomac and the Senators for the past two seasons. In his time in the Nationals organization, he has helped 17 pitchers reach the major leagues. He was originally selected in the 12th round of the 1993 draft by the Oakland A's. Pitched in 61 games at the Major League level with Arizona (1998), Toronto (2001), Texas (2001-2002) and Cincinnati (2006). He was a member of the Diamondbacks Inaugural 1998 Opening Day Roster.

Hitting Coach - Brian Rupp joins the Sens staff for the first time has hitting coach. This is his fifth season in the Nationals organization. He managed Potomac in 2012 and has been a hitting coach since then. In 12 seasons as a manager, 11 of them outside the Nats organization, he has a record of 660-650. He was originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 43rd round of the 1992 draft. He played seven seasons in the Cardinals organization but never reached the major leagues. As a manager in the Royals organization he guided his teams to the playoffs in five of his eight seasons. He led Burlington, IA to the 2008 Midwest League title.

Athletic Trainer - Eric Montague returns for his third season as trainer and his fourth season in the Nationals organization. He spent 10 years at various levels in the Houston Astros organization. He also worked four years in the New York Mets organization. He attended Mississippi State University where he served as a student athletic trainer while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Fitness.

Strength & Conditioning Coach - Tony Rogowski is the unsung hero of the Senators staff. This is the fifth straight season Rogowski has been with the Senators and sixth out of the past seven. It is his job to see to it that the Senators remain in shape throughout the season as he gets them ready for the rigorous 142 game Eastern League schedule. He attended the University of Alabama-Huntsville and played baseball for the Chargers. After college, Rogowski played independent baseball in the Arizona Winter League and the Continental League in Texas in 2008 and 2009. The Erie, PA native then joined the Nationals organization.

SENATORS HISTORY Since returning to the Eastern League in 1987, the Senators have won six championships (1987, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, & 1999).

Overall the Senators have made the playoffs in 15 of their previous 29 seasons. Prior to this season and since 1987, the Senators have a record of 2012-1933.

FNB FIELD Originally known as Riverside Stadium, the park underwent massive renovations prior to the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Now known as FNB Field, it has a seating capacity of 6,187 although there have been over 15 crowds higher than that total. The highest attended game came on 9/1/2011 when 8,637 were on hand to see Stephen Strasburg make his final rehab start before joining the Nationals.
