HAMMERHEADS WIN SIXTH STRAIGHT
JUPITER, FL- The Jupiter Hammerheads (14-19) beat the Dunedin Blue Jays (16-15) for the third consecutive night by a score of 3-2. Ryan Curry singled in the seventh inning off of Daniel Delucia (1-1) to break a 2-2 tie, scoring Spike McDougall. Curry finished 2-for-4 with a home run (5) and two RBIs (19).
Hammerheads' starter Jose Rosario (no-decision) went six 1/3 innings and allowed one run on one hit and struck out two. The no-decision snapped the right-hander's two-game winning streak. Reliever Wade Korpi (1-0) picked up his first win of the season while A.J. Battisto pitched a perfect ninth to record his fifth save.
Spike McDougall continues to swing a hot stick and finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored and a stolen base (8). McDougall is batting .429 (6-for-14) with a home run and five RBIs over his last five games.
The four-game series will conclude tomorrow in a special 12:05 PM start time at Roger Dean Stadium. Florida State University product Elih Villanueva will get the start and will look to get Jupiter a series sweep and a seventh straight win.
