HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the Club has recalled forward David Desharnais from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.
Desharnais, 21, has appeared in 21 games with Cincinnati this season, collecting seven goals, 18 assists, 25 points, a plus-13 rating and eight penalty minutes. The native of Quebec City, Quebec, took home the CCM Vector ECHL Rookie of the Month and the Paysource USA ECHL Plus Performer of the Month in November.
The 5-foot-6, 177-pound forward played in seven games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League last season, posting a goal and an assist with four penalty minutes. Desharnais also tallied 38 goals, 70 assists, 108 points and 32 penalty minutes in 61 games during the 2006-2007 season with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in the QMJHL.
