This week, the Hamilton Bulldogs will host the Toronto Marlies (AHL Affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) in their 2012-2013 home-opener on First Ontario Credit Union Night, Friday, October 19th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., at Copps Coliseum. This is the first game of their home-and-home series against the Marlies, with the second game taking place at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto on Saturday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m.

The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-3 in a shootout at Van Andel Arena on Saturday, October 13th 2012. Michael Bournival scored the game-winning goal in the shootout while Brendan Gallagher, Steve Quailer and Bournival all recorded their first professional points with assists .

RW Brendan Gallagher, RW Steve Quailer, and C Michael Bournival all recorded their first professional points by each collection assists during Saturday's game. D Frederic St-Denis led the team in plus minus with a +2 rating against the Grand Rapids Griffins. G Robert Mayer stopped all five shots he faced during the shootout against the Griffins.
