Gwinnett Gladiators add three players to Training Camp Roster

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have added three players to their training camp roster.

Mike Stathopoulos joins the Gladiators after attending the Chicago Wolves training camp. The rookie out of the University of Western Ontario tallied 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points in 28 games last season.

The Scarborough, Ontario native played four junior seasons with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League where he tallied 78 goals in 255 games.

The Gladiators also signed center Brett Engelhardt. The rookie out of Michigan Tech tallied 12 goals and 13 assists in 38 games last season in his fourth collegiate season. In 149 collegiate contests, Engelhardt tallied 105 points.

The Sheboygan, Wisconsin native appeared in two games in the American Hockey League with the Philadelphia Phantoms following his fourth season at Michigan Tech last year.

In addition, the Gladiators also signed goaltender Curtis Ryser to a player tryout agreement.

The Gladiators will open training camp today with the first ice session of the season at 4:15 p.m. at the Ice Forum in Duluth. Training Camp continues through October 21st as the Gladiators prepare for their season opener on October 22nd in Augusta.
