March 15, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release

Coming Up Tuesday, Utah at Idaho, 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Utah at Idaho, 7:10 p.m. Friday, Utah at Stockton, 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Utah at Stockton, 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Utah at Stockton, 5:05 p.m.

The Situation The Grizzlies took five of six possible points in three games against Stockton this week going 2-0-1-0 to run their record on the season to 28-25-3-5 with eleven games left in the regular season. The National Conference playoff race is less than clear with spots two-eight separated by six points and spots four-eight separated by three points.

Kinasewich Heating Up Again Utah Captain Ryan Kinasewich carries a five-game scoring streak into the week following five goals and one assist in three games this past weekend against Stockton.

Tying His Own Record Kinasewich tallied back-to-back two-goal games Saturday and Sunday while he also tied a team record which he now shares twice with Trevor Smith for most shots on goal in a game with 13. He previously had 13 shots in a game February 25, 2006 in San Diego. Kinasewich leads the ECHL with 256 total shots this year.

Career-Highs In View Kinasewich enters the week with 38 goals, two off of the league lead despite playing in 15 fewer games than Victoria's Wes Goldie. Kinasewich is one goal away from tying his career-high with Utah that he set in 2005-2006 when he had 39 goals. He is also three points away from his career-high of 85 points, which was also set in 2005-2006.

Looking To Finish Strong On The Road Before a disastrous stretch when they visited the homes of Clippers Nation and disgraced former Senator Ted Stevens, the Grizzlies were 4-2-0-4 (January 9-February 12) in their last ten road games before the 0-4 stretch to Ontario, California and Alaska February 26-March 4. Utah will look to revert to their previous road success as they finish the season with eight of their final eleven regular season games on the road.

Did You Know? The Grizzlies last three road wins have come in shootouts. Utah's last regulation win on the road was a 5-1 victory in Anchorage January 9 and 14 road games ago.

Spring Training The Grizzlies five-game in six-night stretch this week is their busiest stretch of the year. It marks their most frequent action since December 30-Janaury 3. Utah also played four games in five nights November 10-14, going 3-1 against Las Vegas.

Two Apples A Day Dylan Hunter and Peter Aston have each tallied two assists in Utah's last two games.
