The Grizzlies (10-28-0-2) square off against the Chicago Wolves (24-15-4-1) tonight at the 'E' Center in the fourth of 10 meetings this season between the two teams. Thus far, the Wolves are 2-1 versus the Grizzlies including splitting two games in the 'E' Center earlier this season.
The Grizzlies are playing game three of a six-game home stand that has them 1-1 thus far after splitting games this past weekend with the Cleveland Barons. Utah is 5-3 in their last eight home games with Fredrik Sjostrom recording three helpers in his last two games. Peter White (1-2 -3) and Aaron Gavey (2-1 -3) each have three game point streaks.
For Chicago, they have dropped four straight road games but sit in second place in the West Division trailing front-running Milwaukee. Chicago is led by J.P. Vigier and veteran Steve Maltais who recently recorded his 600th professional goal. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen is among the AHL leaders with 21 wins and four shutouts.
Next Game: The Grizzlies host Manitoba on Friday night at the 'E' Center in the first of back-to-back games against the Moose. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
