The Situation

The Grizzlies are 2-0 post the Christmas holiday after beating Colorado 2-1 Friday in Loveland and 5-3 Saturday at Maverik Center.

Saturday Night

The Grizzlies tied a season-high with five goals, had five players with multiple-points, scored a season-high four power-play goals and led the rest of the way after taking a 2-1 lead with .4 seconds left in the first.

Power-Play Gets Going With Twice The Chances

Utah went 6-16 on the power-play over the weekend and that includes scoring three five-on-three goals. Utah drew 16 power-plays and took only nine penalties that put Colorado on the power-play.

Coach's Keys Executed To Perfection

Prior to Friday's game, Head Coach Tim Braham gave his keys to success on 1320 KFAN as Utah returned from the holiday break. "It's a fresh new start for everybody, we know what we have to do, we just have to go out and do it. We need to stay disciplined and draw penalties. We have to have some fun, we play our best when we're having fun and enjoying it and that's what we need to do."

Dell In Goal

Aaron Dell, who returned to the Grizzlies lineup Friday after being in the AHL since November 14, recorded his third and fourth-straight wins for Utah stopping 51 of 55 shots Friday and Saturday. Over his four-game winning streak that dates back to November and 9 and 11, Dell has stopped 101 of 107 shots for a .944 save percentage and 1.47 goals-against-average.

Rookie D-Man

Rookie defenseman Pat O'Keefe has five points in his last six games, including three power-play assists in his last two games.

MacQueen

Jamie MacQueen has scored a goal in all four home games played at Maverik Center this year and has scored 10 goals in nine games.

When He Scores

After Friday's game-winning goal Friday in Colorado, Utah is 4-1 when Danick Paquette scores a goal in a game this season.

Back To Orlando

The Grizzlies trip to Orlando this weekend will mark the first time since 2004-2005 that the team has played east of the Mississippi River and the first time since 2000-2001 that the team will play in Orlando when the two organizations met in IHL action. Utah defeated Orlando 4 games to none to win the 1996 Turner Cup Championship.

On Your Drive Home

Thursday and Friday's contests from Orlando will start at 5 and 5:30 p.m. respectively and will allow fans to tune into 1320 KFAN live on their way home from work for early editions of Grizzlies Hockey. "The Drive with Monty and Gunther" will start at 3 p.m. each day and lead up until the opening face-offs.

New Year's Eve

Tuesday, December 31, the team is at Maverik Center for a 6 p.m. face-off on New Year's Eve. The game will feature $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers.

Tickets can be purchased at the Maverik Center box office, online at utahgrizzlies.com or any Ticketmaster location. Call (801) 988-8800 for information on luxury suite rentals, groups of 10 or more and birthday packages.
