Fresno Grizzlies News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The Pacific Coast League released Wednesday its 30-man roster for the 30th annual Triple-A All-Star Game, which will be played at the Tacoma Rainiers' Cheney Stadium on Wednesday, July 12. The contest will be broadcast live on MLB Network beginning at 6:00 p.m. PDT. The PCL's winningest modern-day manager, the Fresno Grizzlies' Tony DeFrancesco, will skipper the roster comprised of players from all 16 clubs. 13 players were elected to the team by balloting of the club's field managers and general managers, members of the media and broadcasters, with the remaining 17 selected by league officials. Outfielder Derek Fisher and infielder Colin Moran will be the Fresno representatives on the PCL club.

Derek Fisher is in his fourth professional season with the Houston Astros organization. A 2014 first round draft pick out of the University of Virginia, he's posted a .271 batting average with 45 home runs, 15 triples, 47 doubles, 181 RBI and 76 stolen bases in his first three seasons as a professional. The outfielder is currently ranked the No. 4 Astros prospect according to MLB Pipeline.

From Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Fisher is currently batting .315 with Fresno. He is ranked fourth in the Pacific Coast League in slugging (.581), tied for third in extra-base hits with 37 and is fifth in the league in total bases (155). Fisher was named PCL Player of the Week May 29 - June 4; during that span he helped the Grizzlies to a season-best six-game win streak going 10-for-23 (.435) with three homers and nine RBI. Called up to the Major Leagues for the first time in his career on June 14, Fisher homered in his MLB debut on June 15 and hit two home runs in five games for Houston, starting all in left field.

Colin Moran is in his fifth professional season and third with the Houston Astros organization. Selected in the first round of the 2013 draft by the Miami Marlins, he was acquired by the Astros in a 2014 trade. The Port Chester, New York native played collegiately at the University of North Carolina. Moran made his Major League debut with the Astros on May 18, 2016, and appeared in nine Major League games last season during two separate call-ups.

In his second full season with Fresno, the corner infielder is currently batting .289 with a career-high 17 home runs in his first 63 games, which is tied with Fisher for the club lead. Moran is homering once every 14 at-bats, the fourth-best mark in the PCL. Moran ranks fourth in the PCL in RBI with 57, a mark that also leads the Grizzlies. He is one of just three to have driven in five or more runs in a game for Fresno this season.
