Grizzlies Announce 2007 Promotional Schedule

Fresno, CA- The Fresno Grizzlies are excited to announce their full promotional lineup for the upcoming 2007 season at Chukchansi Park.

In commemoration of the team's 10th season in Fresno, the Grizzlies will host Friday Night Fireworks on each of the ten Friday home games during the year. Dates for Friday Night Fireworks are April 6 (presented by Bingham Toyota), April 27, May 4 (presented by Bingham Toyota), May 18, June 1 (presented by Bingham Toyota), June 22 (presented by Together Rx Access), July 6 (presented by Bingham Toyota), July 20, August 3 (presented by Bingham Toyota), and August 17 (presented by San Joaquin College of Law). At all Friday home games, the first 1,000 fans will be given Rally Towels (presented Rally's).

The Grizzlies will kick off the season with an Opening Night Fireworks show as they take on the Portland Beavers on April 5 at 7:05 pm. The annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza (presented by ABC 30) and season ending fireworks show on August 21 bring the total number of fireworks shows to 13.

Each Saturday home game will include a giveaway item or a visiting entertainer. This season's giveaways include Chukchansi Park Snow 'Gloves' on April 7 (presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino), Fleece Blankets on April 21 (presented by Tickets.com), Cinco de Mayo celebration and giveaway on May 5 (presented by La Tapatia), Camouflage Hats on Military Appreciation Night on May 19 (presented by KMJ 580), "Bob Parker" Bobbleheads for The Price is Right Tribute Night on June 2, Beach Towels on June 23 (presented by Fresh California Peaches, Plums, and Nectarines), Kevin Frandsen Figurines on July 7 (presented by California Transplant Donor Network), Parker Coin Banks on July 21, Full Throttle Backpacks on August 4 (presented by Coca-Cola), and All-Decade Team T-Shirts on August 18. Visiting mascot entertainer Reggy will appear on April 28 (presented by First 5 of Fresno County) and the always popular Zooperstars! will perform on August 18.

2007 will see the return of former MLB player appearances and autograph sessions at Chukchansi Park as Hall of Fame Pitcher Juan Marichal visits on May 6 (presented by Bar-S Foods) and former Los Angeles Dodger great Steve Garvey appears on June 24 (presented by Fresno County Tobacco Prevention Program). In addition, each Sunday home game will feature pregame Autograph Sessions with Grizzlies players (presented by ABC 30). Sundays will also mark the return of Kids Run the Bases (presented by Del Taco), where all children 12 and under have the opportunity to race the bases after the game. All fans in attendance will receive a Magnet Schedule on Sunday April 8, courtesy of Frazee Paint and 1550AM Sporting News Radio.

"As we expect our tenth season to be our best year yet, the 2007 promotional calendar is easily the most exciting we have ever put together," said Scott Carter, Vice President of Marketing. "This is only the tip of the iceberg as our fans can expect more theme nights and specialty promotions to be added and announced throughout the season."

Grizzlies fans can look forward to additional theme nights, jersey auctions, and ticket promotions that will give Central Valley residents numerous reasons to join the team in celebration of its decade-long existence.
