Wichita, KS (Nov. 18th) - Scott Greenham stopped 46 shots and Nathan Moon recorded a pair of goals in his first game in a Thunder uniform to help Wichita skate past Alaska on Friday night in a 5-1 win at INTRUST Bank Arena.

Wichita, KS (Nov. 18th) - Scott Greenham stopped 46 shots and Nathan Moon recorded a pair of goals in his first game in a Thunder uniform to help Wichita skate past Alaska on Friday night in a 5-1 win at INTRUST Bank Arena.
Logan Nelson and Gerrad Grant each added two assists while Alexis Vanier and Gabriel Gagne collected their second goals of the season. .
Moon gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead with eight minutes left in the first, stealing the puck from Stephen Perfetto at the Alaska line and went blocker side on Kevin Carr. The Aces answered just over two minutes later with a power play goal from Steven Tarasuk and tied the game at one.
In the second, Wichita didn't waste any time re-gaining the lead as Gagne scored off a face-off at 2:11 to make it 2-1. At 3:44, Moon recorded his second of the night off a drop pass from Nelson at the top of the right circle and made it 3-1.
The Thunder added two more in the third, one on the power play and another of the shorthanded variety. Alexis Loiseau tallied his eighth of the season at 4:17 to make it 4-1 on a shorthanded breakaway. He now has shorthanded goals in back-to-back games. Vanier put an exclamation point on the win with a power play goal at 8:55 and a 5-1 lead.
Wichita has scored at least five goals in three of the last five games. Nelson has seven points (2g, 5a) in his last six contests. Trecapelli added an assist, extending his point-streak to four games (2g, 4a). Gagne finished with a goal and an assist. Greenham secured his fifth win of the season, stopping 46 of 47 shots. Carr took the loss, stopping 20 of 25 shots he faced.
The Thunder went 1-for-4 on the power play and has power play goals in six-straight games. Alaska went 1-for-5 on the man advantage.
Wichita remains at home tomorrow night against the Alaska Aces starting at 7:05 p.m. Tomorrow night is Youth Jersey Giveaway Night, presented by Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive this terrific giveaway.
