Great Wekeend For Bulls' Alumni

AMARILLO, TX - Several Amarillo Bulls' Alumni earned goals and assists for their respective schools in NCAA action over the weekend.
Forwards Cody Freeman, Ryan Taylor and Greg Gibson as well as defensemen Karl Beckman and Brandon Lubin were part of their team's offensive attacks.
In one instance, Freeman and Beckman went head-to-head as Canisius College hosted Holy Cross. On Saturday, Freeman notched two helpers as the Golden Griffs blanked Holy Cross 3-0. The following day, it was Beckman's turn to get into the offense for the Crusaders as he notched his first collegiate goal and added his fifth assist in a 5-1 victory.
Meantime, forward Greg Gibson scored in the first period on Friday as Robert Morris doubled Sacred Heart 6-3. Defenseman Brandon Lubin notched his third assist in his last three games as American International settled for a 2-2 tie with Air Force.
At the division III level, Ryan Taylor had a two point weekend for Western New England. He had an assist on Saturday as Western New England outlasted Becker 7-5, and then another helper as they blanked Curry 3-0 on Sunday.
It's back on the road next weekend for the Amarillo Bulls as they make their last regular season appearance to Kay Yeager Coliseum to face the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The two teams will hook up Friday and Saturday at 7:15 pm. Fans can tune into the games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440 and www.amarillobulls.com, beginning with pre-game coverage at 6:50 pm with Denis J. Puska. The games are also available on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required.
In two weeks, the Amarillo Bulls and the Texas Tornado will have a rematch at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 pm. It's the third annual Parents Weekend as players will welcome their families to the Texas Panhandle. On Saturday, it's Scout Night with special group pricing available.
