Goonies Appreciation Night with Chunk Next Thursday

LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Goonies are coming. . . to FirstEnergy Park, that is.
Join the BlueClaws on Thursday, July 29th as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Goonies, one of the most beloved movies of the last generation, with a packed night of events and fun.
Chunk (Jeff Cohen) will be in town to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
He will also judge the BlueClaws own Truffle Shuffle Contest to be held between innings.
In addition, BlueClaws players and coaches will be wearing special Goonies jerseys which will be auctioned off to benefit BlueClaws Charities.
"Of all the movies of the last 25 years, there might not be any better suited for the silliness of Minor League Baseball," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "We are excited to celebrate its 25th anniversary with our fans."
The BlueClaws will also show portions of the movie in chronological order throughout the night, with a special focus on Chunk, the guest of honor.
The night takes place on a Thirsty Thursday, where the BlueClaws will have $1 beer and soda plus 50-cent wings in the Coors Light WRAT Trap.

The BlueClaws are in their 10th season of providing family fun and affordable entertainment at the Jersey Shore. They have led the South Atlantic League and New Jersey in attendance in each year of existence and will return to the playoffs in September trying to defend their league championship.
