GLIFL Inaugural Season Schedule Announced
December 12, 2005 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release
The GLIFL is excited to announce its inaugural season schedule. Each of the league's six member teams will play ten games. Because of the status of NY/NJ as an all-road team, the five remaining teams will play six home games and four away games. Each team plays every other team twice, with each series (except against NY/NJ) playing one game at each team's home arena. The 10-game regular season will be played in 12 weeks, giving each team a pair of bye weeks. The league's top four teams will make the playoffs, with the higher seeded team hosting each game. The #4 seed will travel to the #1 seed, while the #3 seed will travel to the #2 seed. The winners will play at the higher seed's home arena for the inaugural GLIFL Championship. There will be a bye week between the regular season and the playoffs as well, giving playoff teams the opportunity to rest and promote the contest.
