(Beloit-WI) - Ronnie Glenn tossed five hitless innings helping the Burlington Bees (39-47) beat the Beloit Snappers (39-46) 3-0 on Friday night at Pohlman Field.

The Bees took the lead first for the third straight game. Jared Foster opened the second inning with a single and then moved to second on a Jared Walsh single. After Foster was picked off second base, Ranyelmy Alberto shot a single to left, putting runners at first and second and one out. Jake Yacinich put the Bees on the board, slicing a double down the left field line, scoring Walsh, giving the Bees a 1-0 lead.

Burlington's offense picked up from where they left off in the second inning by starting the third inning with back-to-back singles from Angelo Amendolare and Michael Hermosillo. After a strikeout, Jared Foster doubled to left, scoring Amendolare, upping the Bees lead to 2-0.

With one out and the bases empty in the top of the sixth inning, Jake Yacinich was hit by a pitch. Webster Rivas then reached on a walk, putting runners at first and second. After a wild pitch moved both runners up, Michael Pierson hit a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Yacinich, upping the Bees lead to 3-0.

Beloit threatened in the bottom of the seventh inning, loading the bases on three straight singles. Tyler Watson then recorded back-to-back strikeouts, getting both Trace Loehr and Skye Bolt swinging. Watson then got JC Rodriguez to ground into a fielder's choice, ending the inning.

Ronnie Glenn (2-&) earned the win while Evan Manarino (7-4) was charged with loss and Zach Hartman (11) picked up the save. The Burlington Bees and the Beloit Snappers continue the series on Saturday night at 7:00. Austin Robichaux makes the start for the Bees against Michael Murray for Beloit.
