Gladiators Sign Monardo out of Lake Superior State

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed forward Domenic Monardo.

Monardo joins Gwinnett after he completed his senior season at Lake Superior State University. He earned 31 points (20 goals, 11 assists) in 39 games with the Lakers this year.

In four collegiate seasons with Lake Superior State from 2009-2013, the Oakville, Ontario native amassed 101 points (49 goals, 52 assists) in 153 career collegiate games.

Monardo was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's Terry Flanigan Memorial Award winner for the 2011-12 season. The award is given to an upperclassman who has overcome personal adversity and is active on the university campus and surrounding community.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
