Giants to Pick Second in Bantam Draft

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants will pick second overall in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft after the results of today's draft lottery which was held at the WHL Office in Calgary, Alberta. The Kootenay Ice won the lottery and will pick first overall.

This will mark the fifth time that the Giants have held a top five pick. Previously, Vancouver drafted Gilbert Brule at first overall in 2002, Daniel Bertram at second overall in 2002, Tyler Benson at first overall in 2013 and Tyler Popowich at third overall in 2015.

The 2016 WHL Bantam Draft will be held on May 5, 2016.
