Georgia Swarm News Release

(DULUTH, Ga.) - The Georgia Swarm has launched a "Win and We're In" campaign across the metro Atlanta area to encourage local fans to show their support during the Swarm's regular season finale this Saturday, April 30 at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena.

The Swarm (7-10) is celebrating Fan Appreciation Night this weekend and a win against the Vancouver Stealth (5-11) will clinch a playoff spot in the East Division. Gametime is set for 7:05 p.m. and the first 5,000 fans at the gate will receive a commemorative Inaugural Season Team Poster presented by RealTime Gymnastics and the first 2,000 fans will get Hand Clappers presented by In-Transition Realty. In addition, all Swarm players, coaches and team mascot Stinger will be available for autographs and photos following the game on the turf.

The Swarm's "Win and We're In" campaign will be featured in the team's marketing efforts this week which includes TV, radio and digital ads, as well as billboards in the metro Atlanta area. Fans can show their support for the Swarm's playoff push by purchasing tickets at georgiaswarm.com/fanappreciation or by calling 844-4-GASWARM.

Fans can also support the team online by using the hashtag #WinAndIn on social media. One lucky fan that uses #WinAndIn (Twitter or Instagram) will win a pair of On-The-Glass seats for Saturday's game.

"It's been an incredible first season in Georgia and we want to end the regular season with a strong showing," Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. "We have a talented team that's peaking at the right time and clinching a playoff spot would make our inaugural season even more memorable. We're asking all of our fans to come out this Saturday night to support the team, and to help spread the word amongst their family and friends.

"In addition to the game, we have a lot of exciting events planned including a pre-game Half-K Race with Terrapin Beer Co. and our entire team will be available for autographs on the turf following the game to celebrate Fan Appreciation Night."

The Swarm has won three of their last four games, including the last two at home by a combined score of 33-19. Rookie forward Randy Staats leads Georgia in scoring with 88 points (34G, 54A) and will have the opportunity to break the NLL's single-season rookie records in points (89) and assists (54) this weekend. While the Swarm controls their own destiny to clinch the third and final playoff spot in the East, the team can also punch their postseason ticket if Rochester (6-10) loses one of their two games this weekend.

"As it often happens in this league, it's going to come down to the last game of the season to see who's in and who's out," Swarm head coach Ed Comeau said. "It's obviously huge for us, we'd love to see a big crowd there supporting us at home. We've played well at home the last few games."

Amongst those who will be in attendance on Saturday include former Atlanta professional athletes Brian Finneran and Brian Jordan.

"We are excited to watch the Swarm play and my kids can't wait," Finneran said. "We love going to all events at Infinite Energy Arena and Swarm lacrosse is fast paced, physical and fun. It's going to be awesome!"

Saturday's full list of events includes:

Half-K Race: Prior to the game, the Swarm has teamed up with Terrapin Beer Co. to host its inaugural Half-K Race where fans can be a part of a special beer tasting event on the main concourse level starting at 5 p.m. This special, pregame event is not your typical "race". Let's call it a short, leisurely stroll of 0.31 miles around the Infinite Energy Arena's main concourse while you sample brews from Georgia's own, Terrapin Beer Co. (Don't worry - Kids are invited too! They can sample Tampico juices and snack on Nachos.) Tickets are available at georgiaswarm.com/fanappreciation

For ONLY $35 your package includes:

Participation in the pregame Half-K "Race" (5:00 - 6:00PM) - walk, run, or even crawl if you'd like!

Sampling of up to four (4) Terrapin Beer Co. brews (or Tampico beverages for kids & non-drinkers)

Lower Level Ticket to watch the Swarm take on the Vancouver Stealth at 7:05PM

Beer Bottle Opener Sunglasses

Portion of the proceeds of each package will benefit UGA's Camp for a Cause

Fan Appreciation Night: The first 5,000 fans at the gate will receive a Swarm Team Poster presented by RealTime Gymnastics and the first 2,000 fans will get Hand Clappers presented by In-Transition Realty. Following the game, all Swarm players, coaches and team mascot Stinger will be available for autographs and photos on the turf.

Twitter Takeover: To celebrate Fan Appreciation Night one step further, the Swarm's Twitter account will be taken over by the University of Georgia Men's Lacrosse Team during the game. The @ugalax Twitter account has garnered national attention this year for its witty humor and team coverage.

Ceremonial Ball Drop: The Swarm is honored to have former Atlanta Falcons receiver and current 680AM The Fan radio host, Brian Finneran and his family on hand for the team's ceremonial ball drop prior to opening faceoff.

Swarm Atlanta with Kindness: For the past month, the Swarm has partnered with 92.9 The Game to "Swarm Atlanta with Kindness" to benefit local charities and organizations. During Saturday's game, ticket proceeds using the promo code "BJF" will benefit the Brian Jordan Foundation. Jordan will be in attendance for the game and will be interviewed on the field at halftime. 92.9 The Game will also have their street team on-site.

ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament: It will be a busy weekend of lacrosse in the metro Atlanta area, and the Swarm is proud to partner with the 2016 ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament that will be taking place at Kennesaw State University. Fans looking to attend both events can find a special ticket package by visiting georgiaswarm.com/singlegametickets.
