Gens Players and Prospect Compete at the U18 Worlds in Russia

Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia - The 2018 IIHF World U18 Championships have concluded in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia. The Gens had three players and a prospect represent their countries (Canada, Switzerland and United States) at the tournament.
Gens sophomores Allan McShane and Serron Noel were named to the Canadian team following the conclusion of the Generals playoff run. McShane and Noel were paired together on a line over the course of the tournament, leading the Canadian team in scoring, each with six points. They both received player of the game honours for Team Canada in two of the team's preliminary round games and McShane was also named one of Canada's top three players of the tournament.

Gens rookie defenceman Nico Gross is no stranger at representing his country, Switzerland, on an international level. At this tournament, he was named a co-captain on the team which would play in Group A with Canada, United States, Sweden and the Czech Republic. Gross tallied a goal and three assists in five games.

Gens prospect Jack DeBoer suited up for Team USA at the tournament earning a silver medal with the team. He was drafted by the Gens in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection in the 2nd Round, 32nd Overall. He currently plays for the US National Development Program.
