Our Eastern Conference Semi-Final series against the Bulldogs continues tonight at the Meridian Centre!
Before the game, join us between the William parkette for a pre-game tailgate party! We'll have kids activities including a puck toss contest, a puck stack relay and sidewalk chalk, and a photo booth!
During tonights' game, we'll be collecting donations in support of the Humboldt Broncos to show our solidarity with their community in Saskatchewan after this horrible tragedy. We will also have large banners for fans to write their well-wishes. These banners will be sent to the Broncos.
Despite disappointing overtime losses in the first and second games of this series, the boys will be focusing on the positives that came with coming back into the games late. Getting the first goal tonight and establishing a lead will be key for the IceDogs in this important Game Three.
We've had 5 different goal scorers this series, with Ben Jones leading the way with 2 goals. In 2017-2018, Ben Jones has scored 8 goals against the Bulldogs. Hamilton's Matthew Strome ranks 5th in the league with 13 points (10 of which being assists) thus far, while Saigeon ranks 2nd in goals with 8.
Stephen Dhillon continues to rank amongst the top in the league with a goals against average of 2.77, and leads all goalies still active in the OHL Playoffs with a save percentage of .927. The Bulldogs' Fulcher ranks 2nd in the league with a goals against average of 2.51.
Our 2nd ranks penalty kill, with an efficiency rating of 84.2%, is facing the Bulldogs' 1st ranked powerplay, which has a 41.9% efficiency rating. Our 8th ranked powerplay, 30.6% efficient in the post-season, is facing the Bulldogs' 8th ranked penalty kill, 73.3% efficient.
