TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Adirondack Thunder are north of the border this afternoon for a rematch against the Brampton Beast. The two teams squared off at Cool Insuring Arena on Friday evening with the visitors taking the victory by a 5-1 final in Adirondack's lone game of the week.

TUG OF WARD: Adirondack forward Brian Ward picked up a late goal in Friday's defeat to extend his goal-scoring streak to five games. Ward's streak is currently the second longest active streak in the ECHL and the 6-2 center became the first Adirondack Thunder player to reach the 20-goal mark on the season with the tally. The Haverhill, MA native now ranks third on the Thunder in overall scoring with 35 points (20-15-35).

DR. SHOLLS: Thunder goaltender Tomas Sholl posted another strong effort on Friday, as he entered the game in relief and turned aside 22 of the 23 shots he faced. The 6-0 netminder has stopped 69 of the 74 shots he's faced throughout the last week. On the season, Sholl has posted a 3-0-0 record to accompany a 2.17 goals against average and a .937 save percentage from five total appearances.

WALL-E: Adirondack forward Terrence Wallin enters today's action riding a seven-game scoring streak away from home, extended with a goal in his last road game on February 10 in Norfolk. Wallin, who also tallied an assist at home on Friday, has now collected 34 points (16-18-34) this season, which ranks third on the Thunder in overall scoring and also marks an ECHL career high in points.

MOVING PIECES OF THE PUZZLE: The Adirondack Thunder saw a series of roster moves this weekend. Goaltender Drew Fielding (HAR), defenseman Desmond Bergin (HAR) and defenseman Mathieu Brodeur (UTI) all headed to the AHL this weekend, with Bergin playing yesterday afternoon. Bergin and Fielding are back with the Thunder today joined by defenseman Matthew Spencer, who was assigned to the Thunder this morning.

AWAY ASSAULT: Adirondack has scored 23 goals on 101 attempts on the power play away from home this season, good for a 22.8% clip. The Thunder rank second in the ECHL in power play away from home, trailing only the Wheeling Nailers (23.5%). Adirondack has posted an 18.8% success rate on the power play overall this season, good for second best in the Eastern Conference.

NORTH BY NORTH DIVISION: The Thunder continue on a heavy stretch of divisional action with nine straight games coming within the North Division. Adirondack currently sits in a tie for third in the division, eight points behind the division-leading Manchester Monarchs. Including today's game against Brampton, Adirondack will play 18 of its final 20 games within the North Division.
