Scouting Lincoln - The Stars (6-8-2) have gone to overtime in three of their last five games, continuing the theme of one-goal games that defined the first quarter of the season. Lincoln has played more one-goal games than any team in the league, going 5-3-2. Henry Bowlby and Brandon Schultz lead the team with nine points. Josef Korenar has the best save percentage (.942) and the fifth-best GAA (1.81) in the USHL.

Scouting Des Moines - The Buccaneers (9-4-1) have hovered atop the Western Conference standings after missing the playoffs the last nine seasons. In his second season, Jan Ruzicka has helped Des Moines to allow the fewest goals in the league (29 - tied with Chicago). Kobe Roth leads the team with 12 points. Top rookie center Isaac Johnson will return to the lineup tonight after serving a three-game suspension. The 6'2" 177 pound forward has 11 points in 11 games.

Last Game - The Stars were shutout for the third time this season, falling 3-0 to Des Moines in the Ice Box. Josef Korenar made 26 saves in the loss.

Players to Watch

DM: Jan Ruzicka - The Czech goalie has played three games against the Stars this season, allowing one goal in his last two outings vs. Lincoln. Ruzicka was given a C rating on the NHL Central Scouting "Players to Watch" list.

LIN: Eero Terî=A4vî=A4inen - The Finnish defenseman has received all sorts of attention lately. He played at the U18 Five Nations Tournament, committed to the University of Denver and was given a C rating by NHL Central Scouting. He has one assist in 12 games with the Stars and is due for a breakthrough.

Series History - The Stars have gone 2-2-0 against the Buccaneers this season. Three of the games have been decided by one goal and each team has recorded a shutout. Des Moines and Lincoln will meet eight times this season with upcoming games on Dec. 3, Jan. 13, April 4.

NHL CSS - NHL Central Scouting released its updated "Players to Watch" list for November and included Josef Korenar, Cayden Primeau and Eero Terî=A4vî=A4inen. Primeau was given a B rating as a projected second or third-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. Korenar and Terî=A4vî=A4inen were given C ratings as projected fourth-seventh rounders.

Jersey Auction - The Stars raised more than $19,000 for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Veterans Organization with a post-game jersey auction on Military Appreciation Night (Nov. 11). Eero Terî=A4vî=A4inen's jersey sold for $1,750.

Luka Here - Stars forward Luka Maver had two goals and one assist on Nov. 11 against the Tri-City Storm. The Slovenian forward played the last two seasons for the Topeka RoadRunners in the North American Hockey League before attending Stars camp in June. He was added to the roster midway through the preseason.

Trade Made - The Stars recently acquired Sam Sternschein from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders for a fourth-round pick in the 2017 USHL Phase II Draft. Sternschein is a 6'1" 204 pound forward with 15 points in 65 USHL games.

Seeing Green - Alex Green leads Stars defensemen with five points in 16 games. Prior to this season, Green had two assists in 40 games played. The Cornell commit attended Minnesota Wild Development Camp during the offseason.
