GAME NOTES
Lincoln Stars (10-9-3) | 5th - Western Conference
Last weekend's sweep marked the Stars' first since the second week of the season. The challenge on Friday will be continuing that momentum despite losing Ethen Frank, Luka Maver, Alex Green, Cayden Primeau and coach Chris Hartsburg to international competition. Lincoln's matchup against Dubuque will mark its seventh game of the season against an Eastern Conference opponent. The Stars are 2-2-2 against the East.
Dubuque Fighting Saints (14-6-2) | 2nd - Eastern Conference
The Fighting Saints are the hottest team in the USHL, going 8-0-1 since Nov. 11. Dubuque will be without leading scorer Zach Solow who has posted 25 points but is gone to international play. The Fighting Saints will attempt to rely on their other strengths this weekend - allowing less than 25 shots per game, having the third-best penalty kill in the league and riding solid goaltending from Jaxon Castor.
