The Solar Bears and Stingrays come together tonight for game two of a three game series at the Amway Center. Orlando found itself staring up from a 3-0 hole with less than 10 minutes remaining in last night's game, but struck for two power play goals from forward C.J. Severyn and saw F Michael Neal tally with 23 seconds left to force overtime. In the extra frame, F Ryan Ginand stole a puck in the defensive zone and dished a pass to C Ryan Cruthers. The Solar Bears captain led a 2-on-1 rush into the attacking zone a fired a shot into the top left corner of the net to lift the Solar Bears to a 4-3 overtime win over the Stingrays. Orlando improved their home record to 15-5-1-3 with the win, and are now 2-0-0-0 against South Carolina at Amway Center. The Solar Bears are 3-3-0-0 against the Stingrays overall this season.

Solar Bears Notes:

Orlando saw the return of F Derrick Burnett, D Jesse Dudas (1 assist), F Scott Tanski, and D Michael Wilson (2 assists) last night... The Solar Bears are now 4-0-0-1 at home on Friday nights. They 5-1-0-0 at home on Saturdays... Orlando has come back from 3-0 deficits in back-to-back home games... RW Justin Levac made his Solar Bears debut yesterday... Orlando is third on the penalty kill at home, killing off 88.9 percent of their penalties (104-for-117)... The Solar Bears have scored at least one power play goal in three straight games... C Mathew Sisca stretched his points streak to three games (1 goal, 3 assists)... C Ryan Cruthers picked up his 400th professional penalty minute last night... Orlando has lost just one time in regulation in their last 12 home games, dating back to a 6-2 win over the Fort Wayne Komets on December 9. The Solar Bears are 10-1-1 during that span... G Mike Brodeur, D Josh Caron, F Dan Dries, D Sean Lorenz, and F Dale Mahovsky remain on the 21-day IR.

Stingrays Notes:

G Ryan Zapolski leads the ECHL with a 1.93 GAA and .930 save percentage. He also leads the league with four shutouts... The Stingrays failed to earn two points when leading after two periods for just the second time all season. They are 22-0-2 when leading after 40 minutes of action... F Hunter Bishop is tied for fifth with five game-winning goals... South Carolina is 13th on the power play at 18.9 percent (42-for-222) and 12th on the penalty kill at 82.7 percent (172-for-208)... F Hunter Bishop leads the Stingrays in goals (23), assists (23), and points (46).
