The Solar Bears meet a Western Conference Opponent for the first time as they face off against the Ontario Reign tonight in Southern California. Orlando started their five-game road trip in Gwinnett on Thanksgiving, falling by consecutive 1-0 scores on Thursday and Friday to the Gladiators. Despite coming out on the wrong end of their last three contests, the Solar Bears have lost each game by just one goal. Ontario has been away from action since taking a 7-3 victory over the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday night, including a hat trick by eventual ECHL Player of the Week C.J. Stretch. The Reign have won eight of their last 10 games.

Solar Bears Notes:

Despite being held to 22 shots in their last two games, the Solar Bears continue to lead the ECHL with 34.00 shots per game. F Ryan Ginand is the ECHL leader with 84 shots... LW Nick Petersen is one assist away from 50 in his ECHL career... Tonight's game marks the third straight contest that the Solar Bears have faced a division leader... RW Kevin Baker is two points shy of 400 in his professional career... D Kyle Medvec has been activated from the reserve and is expected to play tonight... RW Chris Lawrence was placed on the 21-day IR on Monday... G Mike Broduer and D Mike Liambas remain on the 21-day IR.

Reign Notes:

Ontario has won eight of their last nine games and won seven straight contests from November 2 through November 17... C C.J. Stretch had a hat trick on Ontario's last game is currently third in the ECHL with 12 goals. He is the current ECHL leader in plus/minus (+13) and is second in shooting percentage at 33.3 percent... The Reign lead the ECHL with 500 penalty minutes (PIM)... The Reign are sixth in the ECHL with 2.76 goals per game.

The Orlando Solar Bears continue their road trip with contests against the Ontario (CA) Reign tonight and then travel to Las Vegas for games on Friday and Saturday. The next home games at the Amway Center are a three game series against the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m. Good seats are still available.
