October 14, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release
Tonight, the Oshawa Generals play at the Tribute Communities Centre for the second home game of the weekend against their division foes, the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Gens head into the game with a record of 3-4-0-0 in their first seven games of the season, coming off a tough loss in a close contest against the Petes on Friday. The team will look to close out their weekend at home with a big two-point performance against the Bulldogs.
Today's game will be the second time the Gens face Hamilton this season. The first time the two teams met, Oshawa came away with a huge 7-1 road victory in an offensive explosion. The game saw amazing performances from several Gens players, including Allan McShane who buried 2 goals and added an assist for a 3-point night, Eric Henderson who notched a goal and 2 assists, and Jack Studnicka with 2 assists. The Gens will look to bounce back from Friday's loss and take down the Bulldogs for the second time this season.
Some key Gens players to watch in tonight's tilt include Serron Noel and Allan McShane. Noel shares the lead in points on the Generals with 8, 7 of which are goals. The big power forward also put up a goal against Hamilton last weekend and will look to do the same tonight. Allan McShane has been on a tear as of late, continuing his point-per-game pace by potting a goal against the Petes on Friday night. He also put on a show the first time the Gens took on the Bulldogs in an impressive 3-point performance. The winger is on fire and will look to keep up his offensive production in today's game against Hamilton.
Come join us at the Tribute Communities Centre for tonight's game at 6:05pm and support the Gens battle against the Bulldogs! The team will go on the road to take on the Peterborough Petes on Thursday and the London Knights on Friday before returning home to face off against the Petes again on Sunday.
