TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (34-11-1-2=71 points) will play their final 2012-13 game against the San Francisco Bulls (17-23-1-5@ points); a team they have yet to lose to at home and have only one loss against all season which came at the Cow Palace 5-1.

The Reign are coming off a 4-2 win over the Bakersfield Condors and the Bulls are hoping to end their 3-game losing streak in Ontario. Their last loss came at the hands of the Wranglers 5-0.

HOW THEY RANK:

The Reign are first in the Pacific Division, first in the Western Conference, and first in the league. The Reign are at 71 points meaning they are potentially one win away from a playoff spot. The Bulls are fourth in the Pacific Division, eighth in the Western Conference, and 21st in the league.

REIGN LOSE STAR PLAYER TO MANCHESTER:

League-leading forward Colton Yellow Horn was called up to Manchester Monarchs yesterday afternoon for his first AHL call-up of his professional career. The winger led the league in goals (36), points (59), and game-winning goals (10). He was tied for first in hat tricks (3), first goals (8), and overtime goals (2), and ranked in the top five for power-play goals (11), and shots on goal (165).

1 MAY BE THE MAGIC NUMBER:

With one more win, and a Bakersfield regulation loss, the Reign will be the first team in the ECHL to clinch a 2013 Kelly Cup Playoff spot with 73 points. This will be the quickest the Reign has earned a spot in the playoffs, and the first time the club was first in the league to do so.

NO REGULATION, NO PROBLEM:

The Reign are currently the best team in the league when sent into extra frames with a 0.750 win percentage in overtime. They have 4 OT wins, 5 SO wins, 1 OT loss, and 2 SO losses for a total of 21 points. At home, the Reign have only lost one game in extra time - an overtime loss against the Alaska Aces on December 1.
