LA Galaxy News Release

GALAXY INJURY REPORT: Out: Robbie Rogers (left ankle), Sebastian Lletget (foot), Clement Diop (hip)

THE MATCH: The LA Galaxy are back at StubHub Center for the last of a three-game spring home stand in Los Angeles. They welcome the Chicago Fire to StubHub Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. The match is presented by 76 and will be broadcast live on Spectrum SportsNet.

Winless on the road in 2017, Chicago Fire will be looking for their first three points away from Chicago in their first road trip west of the Mississippi this season. Bastian Schweinsteiger will get his first look at MLS' most successful franchise on Saturday, while Juninho makes his MLS return to Southern California for the first time since 2015.

The Galaxy will be keen on picking up points at home on Saturday before they set out on a four-game road stretch that won't see them return to StubHub Center until June 17.

LA GALAXY NOTES:

ï‚- Romain Alessandrini has tallied four goals and two assists in seven games in a Galaxy shirt. He leads the Galaxy in goals scored. ï‚- Alessandrini, Emmanuel Boateng and Jermaine Jones co-lead the Galaxy with two assists each. ï‚- Alessandrini, Steres and Pedro are the only players to have started each game for the Galaxy in 2017.

ï‚- LA Galaxy come off their second shutout of the season with a 0-0 draw against Philadelphia on April 29.

IT'S #GALAXYTHROWBACK NIGHT AT STUBHUB CENTER: LA Galaxy will turn back the clock with retro giveaways, playlists and in-stadium video, giving fans a unique look into the club's storied past. This is the second-straight year the club has hosted Galaxy Throwback Night.

The first 12,500 fans into the stadium will be gifted with their own limited edition Galaxy Throwback shirt. The vintage gold kit with a green sash was worn by the Galaxy from 2003-06 with different variations, most notably donned in the Galaxy's 2005 MLS Cup season.

Fans are encouraged to share their favorite throwback Galaxy jerseys, memories or memorabilia with the hashtag #GalaxyThrowback.

MLSSOCCER.COM RANKS HUGO ARELLANO AS ONE OF THE TOP 10 DEFENDERS IN MLS UNDER 20 | INSIDER: MLSsoccer.com's Will Parchman ranked Arellano seventh among defenders in the league under the age of 20. Arellano, who was signed to a homegrown deal by the LA Galaxy in January, has made four appearances for Galaxy II this season.

"If you tuned into the US Under-17 team during the 2013-2015 cycle, you would've seen Hugo Arellano leading the back line with the captain's armband around his bicep," Parchman wrote of the defender. "There was a reason. Arellano is an exceedingly modern fullback, in that he's more comfortable starting builds than crashing into attackers.

"His recent pro deal and subsequent time with LA Galaxy II should help his defensive chops, because he's already there tactically in reading a match and playing out of the back. Even if he's a bit undersized (5-foot-11), his plus positioning instincts mean he's rarely in a spot to be beaten."

NEXT UP: LA Galaxy make the cross-country journey to New Jersey, where they take on New York Red Bulls at 3:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 14 at Red Bull Arena.

And in a unique piece of scheduling, LA Galaxy II will play USL defending champs NYRBII immediately after the first two teams square off. The USL sides will kick off at 6:00 p.m. PT inside Red Bull Arena. 2017 MLS Regular Season LA Galaxy vs. Chicago Fire Match #9 - Saturday, May 6 Location: StubHub Center Capacity: 27,167 Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. PT All-time vs. Chicago: 20-15-6 All-time home vs. Chicago: 11-6-3
