February 25, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release

It's the final Mosaic Sunday Funday Game of the season! Bring your skates to join the Blades on the ice for a skate after the game!

Today - The Saskatoon Blades welcome the league leading Moose Jaw Warriors for game 5 of the season series. The Blades have gone 1-2-1-0 against the Warriors this season, and will meet once more next Saturday in Moose Jaw. Saskatoon is looking to bounce back after watching a 4-0 lead disappear on Friday night in an eventual 7-5 loss to the Regina Pats. The Blades are now just 2 points up on Prince Albert and 4 behind the Brandon Wheat Kings who are in Calgary tonight.

The opponent - The Warriors appear to have shaken what was their worst stretch of the season last week losing 3 of 4, and come in to tonight after beating the Regina Pats 3-2 last night on home ice. The win put the Warriors back in sole possession of 1st overall in the WHL at 93 points. The Warriors employ the league's top goal scorer in Jayden Halbgewachs who has 58 tucks in 50 games. Halbgewachs sits 2nd in league scoring tied with linemate Brayden Burke at 106 points.

For Saskatoon - The Blades need to play to the level of their opponent and more importantly find a way to do it for a full 60 minutes. While discipline is always a factor, the Blades need to keep it in check today as the Warriors potent offense is even more dangerous while on the man advantage.
