VS. RAIDERS: Tonight marks the third of four meetings this season between the Raiders and Tigers as the season series now switches to the Canalta Centre for the remaining 2 games including tonight. The Tigers have yet to beat the Raiders as Prince Albert took the 4th game of the season in overtime October 3rd 5 to 4 and then again on January 9th 8-2.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:

Prince Albert has lost 4 straight games coming into tonight, including a 4-1 loss to Calgary last night, they also sit 4-5-1-0 in their past 10 games and have fallen back of the Wheat Kings, who just a few weeks ago were only 1 point up

The Raiders have struggled offensively since winning 3 straight games, being outscored 14-5 over their 4 game losing streak

Medicine Hat forward Steven Owre leads all Tigers in scoring against the Raiders this season, scoring twice in his only game October 3rd. Defenseman and roommate Clayton Kirichenko, made his return to the lineup last night, his first game since Dec. 9

Matt Bradley has a mini two game point streak and has been hot as of late again, scoring 4 points his last 2 games. Since December 12th Bradley has 19 points in 20 games, compared to 14 in his first 27 games this season

JANUARY 30th TEAM HISTORY: It was a division battle with the Lethbridge Hurricanes on January 30th, 2004 at The Arena. Captain Ryan Hollweg led the Tigers to a 3-1 victory, contributing in all three goals for the Tabbies, including scoring his 11th and 12th of the year. Steve Marr would score his 1st goal of the season to open the scoring that night, Clarke MacArthur chipped in with 2 assists for the Tigers 29th victory of the year.

EAST DIVISION: Medicine Hat are going through a stretch of games against the East Division as including last night's game against Moose Jaw have 8 of their next 9 games against teams from Saskatchewan/Manitoba.

WATCH OUT: With the Raiders 8-2 victory over the Tigers January 9th, many skaters have recorded at least a point, but a trio of WHL veterans are to be watched out for tonight as Jesse Lees, Simon Stransky and Reid Gardiner have recorded a combined 15 points this season. Gardiner leads the way with 6 points in 2 games, including 4 goals and Stransky leads in assists with 5 in 2 games.

NO SOPHMORE JINX: Tigers defenseman David Quenneville doesn't believe in jinxes. The 17 year old entered his 2nd season with the Tigers confident and full of energy to be the next Quenneville drafted to the NHL, just like his big brothers. Quenneville hasn't let up this year, posting 32 points while quarterbacking the Tigers power play for majority of the season. His big slap shot from the point in memorable for both fans and opposing teams as he ranks 19th in WHL defenseman scoring this year.
