Galaxy's Nagamura selected by FC Toronto

CARSON, CA (Friday, November 17, 2006) - Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Paulo Nagamura was selected by Toronto FC in today's 2006 MLS Expansion Draft, the club announced. A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nagamura was one of 10 players selected by the Canadian expansion club. The complete results of the draft are available now on MLSnet.com.

A clever and aggressive holding midfielder, Nagamura played two seasons for the Galaxy, appearing in 54 games (50 starts) with six assists from 2005-2006. In 2005, he helped lead the Galaxy to their second MLS Cup and U.S. Open Cup championships. A product of the fabled Sao Paulo youth program, Nagamura came to the Galaxy following three seasons as an understudy at British Premiership side Arsenal.
