Full 2018-19 Schedule Announced

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds Hockey Club announced the composite schedule for the 2018-19 season. The schedule features 28 of the Firebirds' 34 regular season home games taking place on either weekends or holiday dates at the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint.

The Firebirds first game on home-ice will be Saturday, Sep. 29 when Flint hosts the London Knights for the Firebirds' fourth-annual Opening Night celebration, which will feature a cook out, music, bounce houses for the children and many more family fun activities. Opening night and single game tickets for the Firebirds' 2018-19 season will go on sale Wednesday, Sep. 5 at the fourth annual "Firebirds Fan Fest" Open House from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Dort Federal Event Center. Single game tickets are $12 for bronze, $16 for silver, $20 for gold and $26 for VIP seating.

The Firebirds' second home game features the first battle against the club's in-state rival, Saginaw Spirit on Wednesday, Oct. 3 as the Firebirds look to recapture the Coors Light I-75 Divide Cup Trophy.

For the fourth consecutive year, Flint will continue the tradition of playing on home-ice the night before Thanksgiving. The Firebirds will host the Kitchener Rangers on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. A full promotional schedule will be released throughout the summer.

Fans will have the opportunity to see every member of the 20-team league as each club will visit Flint for a minimum of one time throughout the regular season. Likewise, the Firebirds will play in every OHL city at least once throughout the 2018-19 campaign.

Flint will have many opportunities to get acquainted with the other four West Division members, as the Firebirds will face-off against the Saginaw Spirit and Sarnia Sting eight times each this season including six games each against the Windsor Spitfires and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Firebirds will battle against the five remaining Western Conference members four times each and will also play both one game at home and one contest on the road against the 10 Eastern Conference clubs.

The Firebirds will host one Friday night pre-season game at the Firebirds' official practice facility, Iceland Arenas on Elms Road in Clayton Township on Friday, Sep. 14 against Saginaw at 7 p.m. (ET). Tickets are complimentary to Firebirds' season ticket holders and sponsors. Fans can purchase for $10 dollars. Seating will be General Admission.

Season ticket packages for the Flint Firebirds 2018-19 season are on sale now and can be purchased at the Dort Federal Event Center Box Office, Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET). "Flex Plans" are available for fans that cannot commit to all 34 home games but wish to pre-purchase ticket vouchers at a discount. With Firebirds' "Flex Plans" or "Anytime Vouchers," you can select the games and number of tickets based upon your schedule. "Flex Plan" vouchers are redeemable at the Dort Federal Event Center box office for all 2018-19 Firebirds' regular season home games. New this season, the Firebirds are offering a '40-game Flex Package' that comes with select season ticket holder benefits including free parking.

The Firebirds' training camp will take place Monday, Aug. 27 through Wednesday, Aug. 29. The camp will be held at the Firebirds' practice facility, Iceland Arenas, and is open to the public with free admission for all on-ice sessions.
