Fuel Announce 2016 Training Camp Schedule, Roster

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced the roster and schedule for their 2016 Training Camp Thursday. A total of 34 players received invites to camp, which is set to begin Friday at Indiana Farmers Coliseum and the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion.
Highlighting the 2016 camp schedule is the Black & Red intra-squad game, taking place at noon on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Fuel Tank at Fishers. The game is open to the public, though fans are encouraged to arrive early as a capacity crowd is expected.
The 2016-17 Fuel take the ice for the first time on Friday at Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion, beginning a full week of training before a preseason doubleheader against the Fort Wayne Komets on Oct. 7-8. Indy travels to Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Friday night for an 8 p.m. faceoff, before hosting the Komets Saturday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Tickets for the 6 p.m. rematch are available at IndyFuelHockey.com or through Ticketmaster.
All training camp practices will take place at either Indiana Farmers Coliseum or Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion (unless listed otherwise), and are open to the public.
The Fuel's 2016 Training Camp roster consists of 20 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders. A total of 18 players enter camp under contract with Indy, while the club has issued tryout invitations to 16 others. Six skaters on the roster - forwards Cody Sharib, Anthony Beauregard, Matt Rupert, Tyler Currier, Marek Tvrdon and defenseman Matt Stanisz - will be attending training camp with the Rockford IceHogs, which begins Sunday. Additional players will be assigned to the Fuel from the IceHogs as the AHL preseason progresses.

Sunday, October 2: Black & Red Game (at Fuel Tank at Fishers) - - 12 p.m.
Monday, October 3: Team A practice - 9:30-10 a.m., Scrimmage - 10:20-11:35 a.m., Team B practice 12-12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 4: Team A practice - 9:30-10 a.m., Scrimmage - 10:20-11:35 a.m., Team B practice 12-12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 5: Team practice - 9:30-11:15 a.m.
Thursday, October 6: Team practice - 9:30-11:15 a.m.
Friday, October 7: Team practice - 10-10:45 a.m., Preseason Game (at Fort Wayne) - - 8 p.m.
Saturday, October 8: Team practice - 9:45-10:30 a.m., Preseason Game (vs. Fort Wayne) - 6 p.m.
