GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Frostbite, members of the United Hockey League, announced today that they have completed a trade with the Muskegon Fury. In the trade, the Frostbite acquire defenseman Kevin Haupt from the Fury in exchange for fellow defenseman Steve O'Rourke.

Haupt appeared in 72 games with the Fury last season, tallying four goals and 11 assists. He added five points in 17 playoff games as Muskegon captured its second consecutive Colonial Cup Championship. Haupt began his professional career in 1999-00 with the ECHL's Pee Dee Pride, scoring a career-high 13 goals and adding 21 assists for 34 points. After three seasons with Pee Dee, he moved on to the WCHL's Fresno Falcons in 2002-03, and spent the 2003-04 season in Germany playing with Hassfurt ERC. In 321 career professional games, Haupt has 37 goals and 104 assists.

"Kevin comes to us from a very solid organization, and a championship team, in which he played a big part last season," Frostbite General Manager and Head Coach Marc Potvin said. "He brings leadership and experience to an already veteran defense. I look for Kevin to expand his role, and help us reach the next level."

O'Rourke played in 69 games with the Frostbite last season, tallying two goals and 14 assists to go along with 92 penalty minutes.
